Nobody knows where he came from. Nobody remembers ever bringing him in. We have searched for records of him, and there are none. He just appeared. The camera footage for the cell on the night he appeared was cut.

There is something inhuman about him though. His presence can be felt around the entire prison. Everybody is terrified about going into his cell. Nobody even wants to talk to him.

All he does each day is sit in the center of his cell, cross legged eyes closed in a meditative state. We pass food and water into him daily, but he doesn't accept. But, he is somehow surviving.

What is completely unsettling about him, is that he can sense us somehow. Each time one of our security guards switch to the camera in his cell, he immediately opens his eyes, stares into the camera and smiles.

We have had multiple guards quit. They cannot handle it. One of the guards broke down crying and said the prisoner was in his head telling him to do things, but didn't specify what. Most of the guards resign without saying anything, but we all know why. The shell shocked look in their eyes tell us everything.

And then one day, he mouthed one word into the camera. 'Soon.' And then, things began to happen.

We had multiple prisoners wake up in the middle of the night screaming. They were brought into the medical wing to be checked up on, but they were silent, refusing to speak.

And then, nights later these same prisoners broke down in tears, sobbing, weeping in the middle of the night. They all claim the same thing. That they woke up in the middle of the night to find a man standing at the end of their beds staring at them with a wide smile on his face. And would then disappear instantly.

Unfortunately, one of the prisoners was found dead. Suicide. He hung himself using one of his shirts.

Last night, I had a nightmare. I don't remember exactly what happened in it, but I vaguely remember being chased by someone. Or something. And then, I woke up to find someone standing at the foot of my bed smiling at me. Exactly as the prisoners had described. And then, he disappeared.

I apologize, but I cannot do this anymore. As of today, I am resigning as warden of [Prison]

Something is completely off about this prisoner. I should have asked for assistance before all of this started happening, but it is too late now. I fear that things will only continue to get worse.
